By Car We are in the small, peaceful village of Low Moresby, which is situated 1 mile off the A595 between Whitehaven and Distington. At the roundabout between Parton and Distington, take the exit signed Low Moresby, and continue up to the centre of the village, where you will see a small triangular green with a sign-board, seat and post box. Turn left at this green, and continue to the end of the road, following it round to the left. Chestnuts is the fourth entrance to the right - pointed out by a wooden sign - set furthest back from the road.
By Rail Whitehaven Station is a manned station on the Barrow to Carlisle line, with a regular train service. Taxis wait outside the station for passengers and the fare to Low Moresby is in the region of £5, or pick-up by us can be arranged beforehand at no extra cost.
By Bus Low Moresby has a rather limited bus service - please ring us for details. However, buses travel regularly along the A595 between Whitehaven and Workington, stopping close to the junction to Low Moresby and the walk from the bus stop takes approximately 15 minutes, or pick-up can be arranged beforehand at no extra cost.
By Air Our closest airport is Newcastle International Airport. From the airport, a Metro line runs to Newcastle Railway Station, from where trains can be caught to reach Whitehaven, changing at Carlisle.
